Angelica Müller
Professor of Brazil Republican History at the History Institute of Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and CHS/U associate researcher. Paris 1. She holds a doctorate degree in History from Université Panthéon Sorbonne and in Social History from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). CNPq fellow; Young Scientist at Faperj. Her research interests are focused on Brazil’s mid-20th and 21st century political and cultural history, with emphasis on transitional justice; student activism; methodology and theory of history of the present time.

Francine Iegelski
Professor of Theory of History at the History Institute of UFF. She holds a doctorate degree in Social History from USP and a PhD from École des hautes études en sciences sociales in Paris, under the supervision of François Hartog. She is the coordinator of Epistasthai – Epistemology of the Human Sciences research group – and Young Scientist at Faperj. Her current research investigations are related to the temporalities; the relations between history and Latin American aesthetic vanguards and the theoretical and political challenges of history of the present time.
Researchers

Fábio Waltenberg
Associate Professor of Economics at UFF and researcher of Center for Studies on Inequality and Development (CEDE). He holds a PhD in Economics from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, and a PhD in the Chair of Inequalities at Brazilian College of Advanced Studies from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), under the supervision of Celia Kerstenetzky. Waltenberg coordinates the Brazilian team involved in the evaluation of the Basic Income Citizenship program in Maricá. His research has focused on economic analyses of social policies, with emphasis on education and cash transfer policies.

Marieta de Moraes Ferreira
Emeritus Professor at the History Institute of UFRJ. She holds a doctorate degree in History from Universidade Federal Fluminense. CNPq fellow. She was President of the International Oral History Association (IOHA); Director of the FGV Center for the Research and Documentation of Contemporary Brazilian History (CPDOC), professor and coordinator of the Oral History Program of the same institution. Ferreira currently coordinates the FGV High School Program and is the Executive Director of FGV Press. Her research interests are focused on Brazilian historiography; oral history; political history; teaching history, among others.

Evandro Tinoco Mesquita
Full Professor of Cardiology at the School of Medicine of UFF and coordinator of Universidade do Coração da SBC. He holds a doctorate degree in Cardiology from Universidade de São Paulo. Mesquita has published more than 200 articles in specialized periodicals, oriented 64 master theses and 12 doctoral dissertations. His research interests are focused on the cardiology field; the relations between the medical sciences and history and the reflection on the pandemic temporalities and medical knowledge in face of uncertainties.

Stefania Chiarelli
Associate Professor of Brazilian Literature at UFF. She holds a doctorate degree in Literature Studies from Pontifícia Universidade Católica - Rio de Janeiro. Her studies focus on brazilian literature, especially from themes such as displacement, memory and immigration. Chiarelli has published several papers, essays and books and co-organized compilations such as “O futuro pelo retrovisor: inquietudes da literatura brasileira contemporânea” (2013), “Falando com estranhos - o estrangeiro e a literatura brasileira (2016)” e “Rawet em diálogo” (2019). She has been dedicated to the study of literature in contemporaneity.
Postgraduate and Undergraduate Researchers

Ana Luiza Guimarães Ribeiro
History undergraduate student at UFF, CNPq scientific initiation fellow and volunteer intern at PIBID project, collaborating in Levi Carneiro Municipal School. She is also part of the research group Epistasthai. Her studies focus on african languages in Brazil.

Carlos Daróz
Historian, teacher and writer. He is a doctoral student in the History Graduate School Program at UFF (PPGH-UFF) and a graduate teacher at Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina. Daróz is an author of seven books.
Carolina Bertassoni dos Santos
Doctoral student at PPGH-UFF, researching the Evangelical Bench in the brazilian National Congress. She holds a master degree in Social History of Culture from PUC-Rio. She is also a teacher of the Education Secretary of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Diego Gambier
Undergraduate History student at UFF, founder of the Instagram page Um Pouco, which promotes disclosure of scientific knowledge, and collaborator ofHistória da Ditadura.


Eduardo Santiago
Holds a History degree from UFF and is currently a master’s student in the Social History Graduate School Program at UFRJ (PPGHIS-UFRJ), where he develops the research on the trajectory of History of the Present Time in brazilian historiography.

Fabrício Sampaio
Undergraduate History student at UFF, CNPq scientific initiation fellow and intern at FGV CPDOC. He is also part of the research group Epistasthai and studies history, memory and literature.
Fernanda Olivia Lazaro Carvalho
Master in Applied Linguistics at UFRJ and PhD student in History at PPGH-UFF. His research areas include: History of Concepts, History of the Present Time and Discourse Analysis.

João Condé
Master in History at UFF and graduated from PUC Rio. He worked at the Moreira Salles Institute (IMS) in cataloging and describing the collection of correspondence of lawyer Sobral Pinto. He currently develops research on press and youth in the 1950s.


Juliana Souza Reis
Holds a History degree from UFF. She was a scientific initiation fellow and is currently a master’s student in History at PPGH-UFF, studying Euclides da Cunha and Claude Lévi-Strauss from themes such as history, literature and photography.

Laís Gabetto
Undergraduate History student at UFF and scientific initiation fellow on the research project “How they observe: vigilance and information production in France and Brazil during the military dictatorship”.
Maria Eduarda Cardozo Guedes
Undergraduate student in History at UFF. Performs CI about the relationship between history and literature. It also integrates the research groups Episthastai (UFF / CNPq) and Political Economy of Communication and Culture (FCRB).

Maria Julia Dias Rodrigues
Master’s student in History at PPGH-UFF and CAPES fellow. She holds a History degree from UFF, developing research in the field of contemporary history, with emphasis on history and memory and History of the Present Time Watch.


Matheus Moreto
Master’s student in History at PPGH-UFF, researching the transformations of the votes attributed to the presidential elections in the New Republic.

Rodolfo Mattos
Master's student at PPGH at UFF. Studies Brazil Republican, with an emphasis on military dictatorship, carnival and the history of the present time watch. He is also a member of the History of Dictatorship Study Group (UFF) and writes for the column "History and Serpentine" on the History of Dictatorship website.
