NACE CNV COLLECTION

Since the completion of the activities of the National Truth Commission (CNV), on December 16, 2014, there has been an intense academic production in Brazil and abroad based on the report and documents collected by the commission. Such initiatives involved the description and analysis of the activities carried out by the CNV, the translation of the report text into other languages ​​and the research aimed at deepening and expanding the results obtained by the investigation conducted by the commission, in the context of studies dedicated to the theme of justice in transition.

With the aim of collecting, systematizing and disseminating documents, reports and information on CNV activities, the USP International Relations Institute created NACE CNV Brasil and UFF, through the Observatório do Tempo Presente, is a partner of Nucleus, together with other national and international universities.

As a university extension activity, the dissemination of information on the CNV will take place through public access to a database to be made up of documents available in public and private archives, as well as by academic production carried out in Brazil and elsewhere. countries.

The sources made available here come from the National Truth Commission fund, located in the digital archive of the National Archives. A curatorship was held to present the scanned documents in pdf, to the detriment of those presented in the video format. The research instrument presented here is based on the organization of the collection itself according to the Plan for the classification of documents of the National Truth Commission (Descriptive memorial of the collection: boxes 1 to 249. Brasília, 15 May 2015. 14p.
